First Cruise to Genoa Bay October 1, 2016

Genoa Bay on a rainy day, 1 1/2 hours from Maple Bay

A little different view from down below than we got in San Francisco

Sunday morning looking out of Genoa Bay to the south

Anchored in 27 feet made pulling the anchor a lot more work than the 15 feet we were used to in California

Heading home, nicer weather than the rain on Saturday

This was my first singlehanded cruise.  It rained a bit on Saturday, wonderful clear weather on Sunday.  The differences between anchoring here and in California?  There are no bridges!  And it is DARK when the sun goes down, no "bright city lights."  A completely different experience.  I'm really looking forward to more overnights on the hook as long as the weather holds before winter sets in.

The view from Opa's deck, Saltspring Island
